This Is My Red Ryder BB Gun

And I haven't even put my eye out. Yet.

Every day I wake, excited, wondering what's gone on in my shop while I slept. I beeline for the coffee maker, desperately stand watch over the carafe as that impossibly long, arduous journey from water to coffee plays out. Finally, finally, grande-sized mug in hand, I get to go to work. Yep, get. In my PJ's, no less. I open the door to my craft room (gasp--I have a Craft Room, another dream come true), and compulsively check for new shop activity. I'm not too proud to admit that I often "SQEEE!" to find new orders. The fact is, I love this job. I love making things, lots of things, with my hands, and I love, LOVE knowing that these things will go on to people who want them. I want to craft things for people, to have them see these things and realize that what I've made resonates with them. I'm doing what I love.
